Action to help Gulf residents in wake of Hurricane Gustav
It's hard to believe that another devastating hurricane has hit the Gulf region. Three years after Katrina, many families have just made it through the barriers and red tape to finally come home again while tens of thousands are still displaced. And now, Hurricane Gustav has forced millions to evacuate. Yet, we can already see a change in the way government at all levels is responding this time – thanks, in large part, to pressure by you and thousands of others like you.
But we cannot let up. Our brothers and sisters in the Gulf need our support and solidarity now more than ever.
Thanks to public pressure by people like you, FEMA has announced that they will provide disaster aid to those affected by Hurricane Gustav. Click here for an aid application.
